Well here we are Monday the first day of June. The weather is fantastic and Mark has gone off to play golf – for the first time in the Algarve. It’s bonkers – he has only just brought his clubs over from home and we are going in a few days.
Yesterday I drove to the ‘Big Town’ to Jumbo the supermarket – to begin the food prep for our journey to Barcelona. However I went with the amazing and fantastic Susan and of course we had to go via a few other shops including Primark! One of our friends commented on Primark that – it makes you feel like a millionaire – I know its a guilty pleasure but to have new things for less is lovely.
Growing up in chilly Northern Ireland and then going to a boarding school has ensured that I have enough body phobias to last several lifetimes. So, the wearing of shorts is a thing that in 52 years I have never managed to feel comfortable with! But when it is over 40 degrees on the boat there really is no way around it! So – having experimented with several types I have finally found some in ….yes, Primark that fit and according to Mark and other trusted friends look ok.
So that’s it Shorts is the way forward and to hell with the wobbly bits and cellulite and body issues! – well of course I don’t really mean it but at least I am working on it! and I am in those shorts as I write – determined to get past this stupid – omg my legs – thing!
So on to Chafe –
Tomorrow is the day that our Mast is due to arrive in Lagos – will it or will it not – who knows
The Paint on Magic is still not in a good state but the painters have not shown up – again!
There are still a few jobs to do – a list in fact but are we worried about it – No – well Yes
We are packing and cooking and shopping and generally getting ready to set sail
The plan is to go on Saturday and head straight to Barcelona – however the weather I ordered has not arrived yet so we may have to adjust our plans
By adjust what I mean is that we still MUST LEAVE on Saturday even if we have to call in somewhere to wait
I have to GO
